The L’Alfàs del Pi Lions Club has made a new donation to Social Volunteering. A purchase of non-perishable food and basic necessities, in the Consum Supermarket, valued at 500 euros. A help that is always needed and well received, said the president of the Social Volunteering Association, Antonio Viso, after publicly thanking its president, Ada Stoppelenburg, for its support.
The L’Alfàs Lions Club is a non-profit association based in l’Alfàs, which periodically collaborates with the Social Volunteering Association, as evidenced by this new donation, a gesture also recognized by the councilors of Social Welfare, and of Residents of Other Nationalities of l’Alfàs, Marisa Cortés and Martine Mertens. Lions Clubs International is one of the largest service club organizations in the world, with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographic areas around the world. Its members care about their community, its prosperity, well-being and the maintenance of good health and its progress.
The Social Volunteering is an altruistic movement that performs an invaluable work in the municipality of l’Alfàs. Created in January 2013, the Asociación Voluntariado Social de l’Alfàs was created in order to assist people at risk of social exclusion in the municipality.
