Drunken Duck hosts Queens Jubilee street party for the food bank

Well done to Nicki and Gary from the Drunken duck, who held a happy street party yesterday afternoon, to celebrate the British Queen’s 70th anniversary.

They managed to raise an impressive 638 Euros for the Voluntariado Social FOOD BANK of Alfas del Pi and at the same time, hosted a jolly community event, where everyone brought a plate of food to share. We enjoyed the buffet of all things British, including sausage rolls, corned beef sandwiches, cheese and pineapple sticks and much more.

We were entertained by Tim Ames who was on great form with his singing and cheeky wit. (I can’t believe even I called for more !) but unfortunately, we couldnt stay for the Showaddywaddy tribute.

Thanks to all who took part, it was especially nice to see Martine Mertens there, as well as the Norwegians, who were such fun sports during the royal quiz.

Well done to everyone who made this event so special and for the 638 Euros which will be given to the Food Bank.
