The Social Volunteering of l’Alfàs is a non-profit association that has been dedicated since 2013 to serving residents of the municipality at risk of social exclusion. It currently has about fifty volunteers who spend much of their free time collecting, sorting and distributing clothes and food, as well as caring for the elderly and sick. In addition, they develop awareness campaigns among the population aimed at promoting a culture of solidarity in the municipality.
The association appreciates the constant support they receive, both from private citizens and from institutions and public and private entities. The list of collaborators is long, from the city council itself to groups of retirees, clubs of residents of other nationalities, sports and party groups, schools, banks, business associations, NGOs, companies and businesses… In short, a large group of people of different nationalities and ages, whom the Social Volunteering Association would like to thank and encourage to continue lending their collaboration.
